Who this is between
These terms govern your use of The Ledger, an Ardenholt program operated by Ruzylo Cloud, LLC ("we", "us"). Using The Ledger means you agree to them.
The service
The Ledger is software provided as-is: a private record of entries you write yourself about the household work you carried, held on your own device. We work to keep it running and useful, but we offer no uptime guarantee and no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law requires one.
What you pay, and what that buys
The Ledger has no price yet. Nothing can be bought here today, and no figure appears on this site because none has been set. The price is published on the program page before launch and before any purchase is possible.
When it is published, these are the terms it will be published under. They are stated now, while there is nothing to sell, so that they cannot be quietly rewritten once a record is long enough to be worth something.
- The price is printed on the program page before anything can be bought.
- No trial that converts into a subscription without a plain, separate decision to buy.
- No tier holding your own entries, your own history, or your own export behind it.
- Thirty days, money back, no reasons needed — attached to whatever the price turns out to be.
- No advertising, and no sale or brokerage of your entries, at any price.
What will not be sold at any price
Some things are not features held back for a paid tier; they are not going to be built. There will be no shared or partner-facing view, no second column, no ranking between people in a household, and no summary sent to anyone on your behalf. Nothing in a future price list will unlock any of those, because none of them will exist to unlock.
Your account, if you ever make one
You do not need an account to use The Ledger. Writing a line asks for nothing at all — no email address, no sign-in, no wall in front of the thing you came for.
If an account is offered, it exists to carry a sign-in and, later, proof of what you own: an email address or an opaque Sign in with Apple identifier, never your entries, your tally, your history, or anything else about your household. What you write never leaves your own devices; an account carries a sign-in, never the record. We run no server holding it, which means we cannot read it, restore it, or hand it to anyone who asks.
If you do make one, keep your sign-in private, and tell us at privacy@ruzylo.dev if you believe it has been misused.
Your entries are yours
You own what you write. We claim no licence over it, we do not read it, and we could not produce it if we wanted to — it is on your device, not on a server of ours. Export it to CSV whenever you like; delete all of it in one action whenever you like. Once it is deleted from your devices we cannot recover it for you, so export first if you want to keep it.
Not advice, and not evidence
The Ledger is a private record-keeping tool. It is not medical, psychological, or legal advice, and it is not a therapeutic service. If the load you are carrying is affecting your health, that is a conversation for a clinician rather than an app.
A record you keep here is your own account of your own days. It is not verified by us, we do not attest to it, and we make no representation about its use in any legal, employment, or family proceeding. Nothing here is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Other people in your household
Entries you write may describe things other members of your household did or did not do. You are responsible for what you record about them and for who you choose to show it to. The Ledger will never show it to anyone for you — there is no shared view and no automatic sharing of any kind — so every disclosure is a decision you make on the day.
We will not adjudicate disputes about what someone wrote, and we cannot: we do not hold the record and cannot see it.
Acceptable use
- Do not use The Ledger to harass, coerce, surveil, or build a case against another person.
- Do not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified clinician, therapist, or lawyer.
- Do not break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law permits it.
- Do not use it for spam, harassment, or anything illegal.
Ending it
You can stop using The Ledger whenever you like: delete the app and nothing of yours is left behind on our side, because nothing of yours was there. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken, with notice where that is feasible.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law permits, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of The Ledger is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located there.
Changes
If we make a material change we will update this sheet and the effective date at its head, and write once to anyone on the register. Continuing to use The Ledger after a change means you accept it.
